How to go to Kuala Terengganu

How to go to Kuala Terengganu. Recently, i went to Kuala Terengganu. To visit my friend over there. I used car to travel, since we were 3 of us. Cant get a cheap Air ticket. I'm staying in wangsa maju, KL. So it easy, just took MRR2 to the North.

Nicely Done..

(Source from MTD InfraPerdana BHD)

You'll see a signboard which shows Genting Highland and Kuantan which lead to Gombak Toll. You have to Pay RM5. Now You are in Karak Highway.
Still long way to go..

Sungai Pahang , view from the Highway
This picture was taken around 10am at the highway.

Drive untill you reach the next toll, That will be at Bentong Toll. You have to pay RM3. Just drive until you reach the "Jabor" Exit. You'll need to pay RM21.00 there.

The Exit, Take this road (left), it will lead to roundabout. Choose KT,Dungun, Kemaman.

The highway trip is 2 and a half hour journey. after the Exit, You will see a roundabout. Got two ways to Kuala Terengganu, One is Jungle (Jungle+Estate+Small Kampung;"village') road, another one is The Coastal Road (Dungun, Kemaman).

When i went there, i took the Coastal road which is longer distance than the other road. When i comeback from Kuala Terengganu i drove use the Jungle Road. U'll past few small town, kampungs and estate. U'll see Jerangau, Bukit Besi, Bandar Ceneh. I will not recommend this road. Most of the road is not level, Bumpy and a lot of pothole.

Can you see the road, bumpy all the way.

My friends got headache and almost vomit. There were no Rest Area. In case your car broke down, U'll suffer alot.

Try to Use the coastal Road. U'll see Town like Cherating, Dungun, Kemaman, Paka, Rantau Abang, Merchang, Marang.

Most of the town have restaurant and Petrol station. since, Terengganu is the Fortress of Petronas Company, You'll find alot of Petronas petrol station over there. Shell also quit popular over there. I didnt see other petrol station rather than this two.If you use this road, you can stop in any town, take your meal and continue your journey. Most of the road is straight and well maintained.

Got McD also Yeah!!!

The sea is right next to the road. You can stop and take picture. There are some shops which sell souvenir, try to get some and also keropok Lekor.

Always follow the signboard to K.Terengganu.

Even my GPS on the car confuse, it thinks i'm heading to the sea.

There is a place where u'll see people selling lemang and jagung (corn). You can get it there. This road is 3hr journey to Kuala Terengganu, compare to the jungle road which 15min less than this. This road is safe even you drive at night. Just follow the sign board, which say Kuala Terengganu.

The above pictures was taken around 6pm. Very unusual sight.

Total Journey From KL To KT= Approx 5.30 hours.
Total Highway Cost = RM29.00 (5+3+21)
Total Petrol = RM 120 (I drive Honda CR-V, Using V-power 97, It will be cheap if use RON95)

Any doubt, please comment. i'll reply soon. Thank You.

Formula One Sepang Malaysia Grand Prix

Yeah!! Its back!!
Malaysian F1 Grand Prix 2011

08/09/10 Aprill 2011
Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia

Who will win this race in malaysia?? Well, its depends... Those days when i started to watch F1, Most of the time Michael Schumacher will win it. Every single race if he get the First Grid, for sure he will win it easily. That guy is amazing!! Its because he is gifted Driver plus the car he drove, ferrari really awesome!! Only Mclaren Mercedes can match them on that moment.

But now, things different. Red Bull is on top. Ferrari, Mclaren, Renault, Merceds GP is still in the game to prove they are the best team. Its getting more interesting where teams like Force India and Wiliams always giving pressure to the top teams.
Not forget about Team Lotus and Team Virgin where they will fight to the end to gain some points from the races.

Now, The Malaysian Grand Prix. What so special about this race compare to singapore Grand Prix.

*It's cheap, the ticket price
*The food is cheap, you can get western food almost everywhere. If you can't find anywhere to eat, just go for McD or K.F.C.
*The hotel is cheap, if u manage to find one..

If you really a hardcore fan of F1 plus you got extra money, then go for the main grand stand. Try to purchase your seat where the LED Screen is located. you can watch the whole race from the screen. You dont want to see the cars just pass by you is it...
You spend time and money to watch F1, but u will miss some things which happen in the circuit. So BUY THE SEATS, NEARER TO THE SCREEN!!!
If you just want to see the cars and support your favorite Teams go for the Hill top Tickets. Its just RM60. Hurry up buy the tickets. For those who bring cars you need to pay RM50 for the parking, for Motorcycles its RM10. You can take bus and train to, check out the SIC website for more details.

Some of you dont want to bring cars, because the road always jam after the race. Here is the
Top Tip:
*Go early and Leave early
*Use the road which i highlighted below. (Red Arrow)

I always go early and leave early. Its because if i go early, i'll get a good parking spot, which will be nearer to the entrance. Plus i'll packed some foods before i'll come to the race and put in my car. Including some cold drinks in my polystyrene freezer box, to keep it cool.
For example, on the race day. you wont be seating all day long on your seat. Walk around, buy some things, visit the mall area, where sometimes you can meet the drivers.
Normally the F1 race will be on afternoon somewhere near 3pm. Morning there will be some races, Formula BMW and so on.
If you feel bored, go out and eat the food which you put in your car.. Can save more money. The meal inside is way more expensive. A normal can drink and mineral water will cost u RM5. Why waste money..

After the race, i'll leave soon. Because there is nothing to watch. If you stay longer the road nearer the circuit will jammed. So try to leave soon. Use the back road as i indicated in the picture above.

One of the Best Kuching Chicken Rice

Sarawak is famous for its mee kolok (thin yellow egg noodles) and of course it's Laksa ( a spicy noodle soup with coconut milk and prawns). Anywhere in sarawak you will be able to enjoy this food.
Apart from this, you can also try Chicken Rice. which is famous in Malaysia and also South East Asia. There are plenty of variety in Chicken Rice. The top two are Hainan Chicken Rice and Roasted Chicken rice.

During my visit to Kuching, Sarawak ; my Friend Jeff bring me to his friend's Chicken Rice Shop. Which is located near Kuching Airport. The Shop was very clean, friendly Staff and Boss. I ordered Roasted Chicken Rice, which cost me just RM5. I also add some Vegetables which is RM3 (That is so cheap with big quantity).

Delicious Roasted chicken Rice

The Shop owner (Yellow T-Shirt) with my friend (Jeff)
